This is a day where we challenge your limits, not limit your challenges! We've got a beautiful trail run planned for the Port Of Roatan. Here are the details:
We will dock first thing in the morning and the group will meet up on deck at a pre-determined meeting area before departing the ship and congregating on the pier.
We'll gather everyone on the dock and make our way to the parking area where we will then load everyone to head to the start. Transport included for all runners.
This will be a trail run so please plan accordingly in terms of footwear and gear. We are working with the local officials on the route to offer both an advanced run and a less strenuous but still challenging trail run. More details will be provided when we are close to finalizing those plans.
There will be optional obstacles which will be made available to everyone that participates. You can choose to utilize these obstacles to add a more challenging element to your run or you can have the option of bypassing them. The choice is yours. This run is going to be our first port of call and the RFFC wants all our runners to work together and attack this course as a team-helping your fellow brother and sister make it through what will be an exciting day!
There will be hydration stations along the way; more details when we finalize the route. We will also have medical personnel at the ready as well as guides at the more difficult portions of the trail.
After the finish we are working on some other ideas which again, we will make available to the group when details are finalized.
Post Run transportation will be provided for all runners back to the dock.
We will have prizes for First Place Male and First Place Female. Those awards will be handed out at the RFFC Awards Cocktail Party near the end of the Week.
After the run and festivities you are invited to join us at West Bay which is a short and cheap cab ride from the dock (AT OWN EXPENSE). West Bay is a beautiful beach which will be a stunning place to relax, meet and mingle, and talk about your morning with everyone else on the RFFC
